- ➤ Maine will impose new taxes and raise minimum wages—streaming services get a 5.5% sales tax on Jan. 1, cannabis tax rises from 10% to 14%, cigarette tax increases from $2 to $3.50 on Jan. 5, and Portland minimum wage goes from $15.50 to $16.75 to $19 by 2028. WMTW

- ➤ Covenant Health filed an amended breach report with the Maine Attorney General’s Office on Wednesday—expanding the exposure to over 284,000 Mainers whose personal details, including names, dates of birth, and social security numbers, were accessed at St. Mary’s in Lewiston—and is offering credit monitoring and identity theft protection. - ➤ Covenant Health, owner of St. Mary's in Lewiston, filed an amended breach report with the Maine Attorney General's Office showing over 284,000 Mainers' personal data was accessed.
