ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Center for Wildlife in Cape Neddick nears completion of an 11-year expansion (11,000 sqft) that will help treat 1,000 more animals and boost capacity to 3,500 injured and orphaned species. The project spans almost nine acres and supports regional ecosystem research.  FOX23

SPORTS NEWS

  • Patriots fans in Portland are placing early bets at Oddfellahs Sportsbook and Bar ahead of the Super Bowl – the venue opened a year and a half ago and now sees wagers on game outcomes as well as prop bets like Gatorade color.  WGME
  • New England fans are prepping for Super Bowl LX at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara as the Patriots, after a season turnaround, face the Seahawks in a rematch — four coaches with Super Bowl experience lead a mix of veterans and rookies while fans swap trivia for game-day fun.  WMTW
