- ➤ Brunswick Public Art selected a team based in Seattle Tuesday to design a sculpture honoring the former Frank J. Wood Bridge, which will use recycled steel from the bridge set for demolition near the new bridge linking Brunswick and Topsham; fundraising is expected and installation will begin after 2027. - ➤ Glenn Parkinson, president and historian of the Maine Ski and Snowboard Museum, joined ARC Maine on Thursday to highlight Maine’s skiing and snowboarding legacy as Winter Olympics interest boosted local pride in the sport. FOX23

- ➤ Hannaford at Maine Mall in South Portland is recalling several meat products sold between Sunday, Feb. 15 and Wednesday, Feb. 18 due to a quality concern; no illnesses have been reported and customers may return the items for a full refund. FOX23

- ➤ Today, the Maine Principals’ Association moved up Friday’s regional high school basketball games because an incoming snowstorm is expected to bring several inches of snow. In adjustments made at Portland (South division), Augusta and Bangor, start times are now as early as 2 p.m. while Saturday’s schedule remains unchanged. WMTW
- ➤ In Wednesday's Maine basketball semifinals at Augusta Civic Center, standout players such as Camden Hills' Nolan Ames (24 points, 11 rebounds) led his team to a 61-52 win over Bangor, while Ellsworth and Oceanside athletes also impressed in key games that set up exciting later matches.
