- ➤ Portland restaurateurs Harding and Sarah Smith opened Mayville Union House in Bethel on the weekend of Feb. 21–22 at 174 Mayville Road. The Federalist-style home now features a 70-seat dining room, on-site gardens, and plans for live music and community events while lunch service will begin in late spring. Portland Press Herald

- ➤ Bangor’s Wong family shared their three-decade tradition of lion dancing at the Lunar New Year Celebration at Westbrook Performing Arts Center yesterday; founder Steve Wong (76) performed alongside his children and grandchildren as he marked his final year dancing while passing the tradition on. - ➤ The Southern Maine Huskies beat Rhode Island College 71 to 54 on Sunday in Gorham to capture their first Little East Conference title since 2013 and secure an NCAA Division III tournament berth. The tournament field will be announced at 2:30 p.m. today. Portland Press Herald
- ➤ On Sunday, Maine Mariners earned their record eighth straight win with a 3-2 victory at Cross Insurance Arena after Linus Hemstrom scored 50 seconds before the final buzzer. - ➤ St. Joseph’s College lost 73-64 to Emmanuel in the GNAC championship game on Sunday in Standish, ending a 10-game winning streak while Emmanuel improved to 22-6 and earned an NCAA berth; the tournament bracket will be announced at 2:30 p.m. today. Portland Press Herald
- ➤ On Sunday afternoon, the Maine Celtics beat the Windy City Bulls 122-87 at the Portland Expo. Keon Johnson led with 21 points and 10 rebounds while seven players reached double figures. Portland Press Herald
- ➤ Athlete Isaiah Harris from Lewiston finished third in the 800 meters at the USATF Indoor Championships in New York on Sunday—he clocked 1:47.22 behind Cooper Lutkenhaus and Sean Dolan.
