  • Residents in four Maine mobile home parks are taking steps to keep their homes affordable—neighbors in Monmouth formed a co-op to buy their park for $1.9 million while residents in Bowdoin, Standish and Brunswick push for rules to curb rising lot rents.   • MaineGeneral Healthcare will lay off 100 full-time employees next month—citing delayed MaineCare reimbursements as the reason for the move. The layoffs will affect workers at its Augusta and central Maine locations.  WGME

CRIME NEWS

  • Police arrested 23-year-old Dominick Morrison on charges of reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon and criminal threatening after a shot was fired on St. John Street around 5 p.m. Friday and he was found at 171 Washburn Avenue about an hour later with evidence linking him to the shooting discovered in his home.  FOX23
