- ➤ Local filmmaker Jake Jakubowski made a film lasting twenty minutes that tells the story of Brunswick resident Tom the Bottleman whose neighbors raised over $6000 to help him get a new pacemaker when he had heart problems—his film also shows how he met and married his wife Maddie. FOX23

- ➤ Mainers are exploring the Scarborough Marsh for spring outdoor activities as the weather brightens — Andrew Mackie of the Scarborough Land Trust said the area is ideal for nature lovers. FOX23
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Archie is an eight-week-old English Labrador that the Portland PD has introduced as a comfort dog — officer Les Smith, with over 30 years of experience, will handle him to help officers, crime victims and the community at events, schools and in crises. The department selected his breed from Boonefield Labradors for his friendly nature and he will continue specialized training for his role. FOX23
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Portland officials say there have been eight overdoses since April 10 with two deaths and a total of 129 overdoses this year with six fatalities—officials believe buyers are unaware of the drugs' contents. Police and Public Health urge residents to carry free Narcan and not to use alone to help save lives. FOX23
