- ➤ On Saturday at 4 p.m., the Coast Guard received a distress call from Maine fishing vessel 25 to Life off Nahant—where a snapped rope struck two crewmembers, and hospital officials later confirmed that 26-year-old Jaxson Marston died while the other was injured. WGME

- ➤ The Full Speed Ahead film festival will run from Tuesday through May 11 and show 16 train films, including The Darjeeling Limited, Strangers on a Train and Murder on the Orient Express, at venues across Maine— from Portland to Waterville.
