- ➤ Auggie Monsen’s grandmother—Heather O’Neil—is organizing a silent auction to cover his medical bills after a car accident left him paralyzed from the chest down. The auction features more than 200 donated items and will be held at the Morse High School gym, with doors opening at 5 p.m. and bidding starting at 6 p.m. Portland Press Herald
- ➤ The Bicycle Rodeo will be held on Saturday at Crooked River Elementary School in Casco from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The free event offers helmet giveaways, prizes, snacks, instructional rides on a closed course, and bike check-ups — all designed to teach Maine kids how to ride safely. WGME

- ➤ Portland police arrested Heidi Fuller after a threat was reported on Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. at 4 Hill Street when a resident said someone impersonated an officer and threatened to shoot her; officers seized two handguns and ammunition and Fuller now faces charges for terrorizing and impersonating a public servant while held at Cumberland County Jail. - ➤ Two teens—18-year-old Jeissey Blash Khamis and 18-year-old Mogga Wani Yanga—were arrested in South Portland last week after robbing acquaintances at Bug Light Park when one victim was hit with a gun and hospitalized, and Khamis and Yanga were later released on bail of $1,000 and $300 respectively. - ➤ Lawmakers are considering a bill to remove referendum votes for school budgets — Representative Mana Abdi said the current system delayed Lewiston Public Schools’ budget approval in 2024.
