- ➤ CBS13 and FOX 23 hosted their annual Shred-A-Thon event Friday from 6 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the studios at 81 Northport Drive in Portland — residents brought old documents for on-site shredding to help guard against identity theft. FOX23
- ➤ Neighborhood associations in Portland organized over nine spring clean-up events to clear parks, streets, and public spaces. One group cleaned Preble Street on Earth Day, and a citywide event runs today with cleanup kits from the Sustainability Office + Public Works picking up trash at designated spots. West End News

- ➤ Today, the Seashore Trolley Museum opens its 86th season with trolley rides along a 3.7-mile route on the old Atlantic Shore Line Railway and outdoor exhibits. - ➤ York County Commissioner Justin Chenette was named Maine County Commissioner of the Month for May 2025 by Spirit of America Foundation’s Maine Chapter—honoring his public service.
