  • Maine State Police ask the public for help to solve the 26-year-old disappearance of Angel Tony Torres, who went missing in May 1999 near Saco, Biddeford, and Old Orchard Beach (foul play is suspected and a $20,000 reward is offered).  WGME

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A new bill will tighten Maine gun laws after a four-year-old boy died from a gunshot in Lewiston last Saturday — the law would make unsafe gun storage in homes with children a crime — advocates say it may help prevent further accidents.  WGME
  • Flight Deck Brewing in Brunswick is under investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division for potential Fair Labor Standards Act violations—on Friday, the brewery’s managing partner acknowledged the probe relates to record keeping and said the company updated its employee compensation package.  WGAN
