Food trucks Meet on the Street, Ironclad Eats and Great Wave Sushi gathered at the CBS13/Fox23 parking lot on National Food Truck Day to serve tacos, burritos and sushi burgers.
Ironclad Eats was named a top food truck in local awards—highlighting a statewide scene with 526 registered food trucks.
Ahold Delhaize, parent of Hannaford, said its systems were hacked on November 5, 2024 — a breach that exposed names, contact details, and financial information of 95,463 Mainers.
The company learned of the incident on November 6, 2024 and now offers 24 months of free credit monitoring to affected individuals.
Today, the fourth annual Maine Oyster Festival takes place at the L.L.
Bean campus in Freeport where visitors can buy raw oysters for $3 each and see tens of thousands of oysters shucked by over two dozen farms. The free festival offers grilled, fried and smoked oysters—along with local food trucks serving sides like kimchi, hot sauce and lemon slices.
Maine’s free community college program will end for high school graduates after 2025; students graduating in 2025 can use their scholarship for two years while later classes will be ineligible.
The program (launched by Governor Janet Mills in 2022) provided free access to seven community colleges (state lawmakers ended its funding) across the state.
