- ➤ Country music star Shania Twain is donating $25,000 to Auburn's Good Shepherd Food Bank to help feed about 50,000 people—she will support food banks at each stop on her tour. She will perform Tuesday at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor. FOX23
- ➤ The National Deaf Disc Golf Championship ended Saturday at Pineland Farms Disc Golf Course in New Gloucester honoring late Joshua Seal, an ASL interpreter killed in the Lewiston shooting. - ➤ Officials at the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife celebrated the 2025 census that counted 174 piping plover breeding pairs on Maine’s beaches—breaking the previous record set in 2023. - ➤ Maine Med is facing a lawsuit for allegedly discharging a 65-year-old stroke patient from urgent care when it was learned he had no insurance. The suit claims the patient was flown from Pen Bay in 2022 to Maine Med, treated for several days before being sent home to Jamaica where his condition worsened (MaineHealth denies the allegations).
