CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 40-year-old man from Portland died by suicide when an Amtrak Downeaster train struck him near the Pine Point Road overpass in Scarborough just after 6 p.m. Saturday night, and police ruled the incident a suicide on Monday. WMTW
- ➤ A 16-year-old held at Long Creek Youth Development Center was charged with killing Christopher Hunnewell, 43, and his adoptive son Ty Carter, 22, in a Chelsea home on June 11—state and judicial officials have declined to release any further details on the case. Portland Press Herald
