- ➤ South Portland police pulled over a driver around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday after noticing suspicious behavior—officers found 300 grams of suspected fentanyl worth over $50,000 and arrested a male passenger as the investigation continues. FOX23
- ➤ A judge made the case against 17-year-old Deven Young confidential—documents naming him in the alleged murder of Sunshine Sunny Stewart were released in July after she was found paddleboarding on Crawford Pond—and he is held at Long Creek Youth Development Center as his trial will decide if he is tried as an adult. - ➤ The Portland City Council accepted a $21M federal transportation grant for Portland International Jetport after a Wednesday night emergency meeting that imposed an ICE cooperation requirement—funds designated for improvements to gates, terminals and boarding bridges. - ➤ On Thursday, about 50 protesters gathered outside City Hall to challenge a secret council meeting that approved a grant agreement tied to $21 million for airport upgrades with language requiring ICE cooperation.
