  • In Scarborough, beaches from Ogunquit to Georgetown had a record 175 nesting pairs of piping plovers this year—officials said the high count shows signs of recovery as more fledglings are expected.  WGME

  • The Maine Department of Labor sued Mostafa Elfaham—CEO of East Coast Coatings—for more than $100,000 in unpaid wages owed to 29 employees, including nearly $30,000 in credit card tips. The department said Elfaham also missed payments for 266 pay periods.  FOX23

  • Casco Bay Recovery Center has launched a state-of-the-art intensive outpatient mental health program that offers art therapy, yoga therapy, nutrition and more at its Brighton Avenue facility — near Rand Road.
