United plans to add 20 more nonstop flights from Portland to California next summer
The Daily Portland team
If you fly west, next summer gets easier. United plans to add 20 roundtrip flights between the Portland International Jetport and San Francisco and Los Angeles, the jetport announced Monday. That's 65% more flights than in 2026.
Demand did it. San Francisco flights were popular enough that the airline extended them five weeks this year, and Airport Director Paul Bradbury said “the demand exceeded our expectations.” United is also adding six Wednesday flights to Los Angeles. Assistant Airport Director Zach Sundquist said United's hubs allow “one-stop connections to many Pacific Rim destinations.”
