About this event
The Department of Earth and Oceanographic Science is pleased to host this talk by Tim Campell, Ph.D.
Sedimentary Records of Subglacial Meltwater, Ice Flow, and Tectonic Evolution Integrating sedimentology, geochemistry, numerical modeling, and AI.
From Dr. Campbell: "My research explores how ice, water, and tectonic processes shape Earth's surface and drive landscape evolution through time. Here, I examine grain-scale interactions between ice and sediment; catchment-scale subglacial meltwater systems, sediment routing, and ice flow; and regional tectonic evolution, spanning decades to deep-time. I will highlight how sedimentology, geochemistry, numerical modeling, and AI help reconstruct these processes and discuss future research directions and opportunities for undergraduate research within the DRIFT Lab."
