2026 Gala Details

Date: Sunday, November 8th, 2026

Time: 1pm – 5pm

Location: Nonantum Resort, Kennebunkport, Maine

About the Event

Join the American Lighthouse Foundation at the historic Nonantum Resort to celebrate a year of lighthouse successes as we look forward to new opportunities.

The theme of our 2026 Gala is the power of togetherness, shared visions, and the incredible milestones we can reach when we navigate lighthouse preservation as a team. During this fun-filled event, we will also honor some of ALF’s finest volunteers with ALF’s Len Hadley Volunteer Award.

Charting New Horizons TOGETHER

The afternoon event will include…

Social Hour: Featuring a special educational exhibit highlighting how lighthouses are serving as host sites for StationKeeper, silent auction and cash bar. Chat with friends and project leaders while perusing a unique selection of silent auction items just waiting to become yours.

Dinner: A plated meal, deliciously prepared by the Nonantum Chef with your choice of Herb Seared Statler Chicken Breast, Braised Beef Short Rib, or Baked Atlantic Cod.

Presentation of ALF’s Len Hadley Volunteer Awards: Help us honor and celebrate some of our organization’s finest volunteers – whose passion, dedication, and service across our organization help guide our lighthouse preservation mission forward.

Keynote Presentation — Lighthouses, Technology & Marine Conservation: Connecting the mission of Lighthouse Preservation with efforts to protect the endangered North Atlantic right whale.

The American Lighthouse Foundation’s participation in MotionInfo’s AIS-based StationKeeper initiative is helping to protect the endangered North Atlantic right whale. Kathleen Collins, Senior Marine Campaigns Manager at the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) will talk about the plight of the North Atlantic right whale and what is being done to protect these marine mammals, while Stacey Hedman, Senior Director of Communications , Global Programs at IFAW will share why collaborations are vital for the success of our missions.

Following the keynote presentation will be a Q & A opportunity for gala attendees to learn more about the North Atlantic right whale, StationKeeper and how lighthouses are playing an important role as host sites for this cutting-edge technology.

Wondering what to wear? We call it “Dressy Casual”…think polished, comfortable, and ready to celebrate. Dressy casual can range from pants with a polo or button-down shirt to a simple dress, skirt, or sports coat. A tie is welcome but not required.
